Let's meet at SoundMiT 2023 and ADC23

As usual by now, except during the pandemic, the last months of the year mean travelling for us.

This time we'll be exposing at SoundMiT 2023 in Turin, Italy, November 11th and 12th, and I'll give a talk at ADC23 in London, UK on November 15th at 10:00 GMT.

Here's what we're presenting…

SoundMiT 2023

We are exposing for the first time ever! The main idea, so far, is to allow the public to play with synths and effects developed with Brickworks and show them that they work decently on any platform.

We'll probably have an electric guitar connected to an iPad and a MIDI keyboard branched to a Daisy board at our booth, plus headphones, promotional material, and hopefully a QR code or similar to point to free web and plugin versions of the same effects/synths.

Should we also hand out the printed source code of such examples, given how short and clear that is? Perhaps, I don't know. Other ideas?

Also, we might be preparing something else for the occasion…

ADC23

On November 13th we're then flying to London, so we'll be at ADC the 14th and 15th.

This year my talk is titled "Creating ubiquitous, composable, performant DSP modules" which — surrise, surprise — will be mostly about the architectural challenges faced while developing Brickworks.

We might also show one or two new killer features of Ciaramella if we manage to have them implemented by then. No spolier.
