Ciaramella + Zampogna Introduction Session?

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well.

I was just wondering if it would be possible to have a sort of meetup where Ciaramella and Zampogna were introduced more formally to everybody? I know there is always the RTFM school of thought, but I thought it would be nice if there was a meetup of sorts to share ideas and also be taught (for some of the less familiar of us, like me [i might be the only one :( ]) some of the ways the code was working (philosophically as well). If this is not such a good idea, thats fine too. Just thought I could share my 2 cents.

It seems like a good idea to me, we need to arrange this one way or another.

We're also currently thinking of crystalizing stable syntax/semantics so that we can have a "working standard" to build upon that is separated from experimental development. It will probably need a reimplementation from scratch though, but it shouldn't be hard or take long.

So, yeah, it seems like a good time to do this is not far into the future. Considering our schedule, we could perhaps do it in Q3 or early Q4 this year.

Regarding the format, we could maybe stream a video conference over Youtube? Or maybe we could have this hosted in some form at the next ADC or another conference? Ideas?

Both sound great to me! I think ADC would be the most ideal, but I don't have a sense of how many people would both be at ADC as well as be interested in this. I guess we could start with a stream of sorts or a video call and gauge from there?

There will be very few people interested in any case. :-)

We'll give it some thought in the weekend anyway, as this is also related to other urgent considerations.

So, we've decided we'll rather do something very informal in the second half of April, perhaps a max 30 minutes presentation to be streamed on Youtube with Q&A. The date could be be the 21st.

That is great news, I will be looking forward to that date! Which channel should I look out for / subscribe to?

Also, I seem to have some issue getting email updates, I will sort it out on my end, so huge apologies for the slow reply. But that sounds great! Will be looking forward to the livestream :) Hopefully it is at a time where GMT +8 is not a problem lol

Well, Orastron's Youtube channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/@orastron5861, I guess we'll use that. Of course we'll announce things a bit more properly.

W.r.t. time, we don't know yet. I'm inclined to favor Europe (that's easy) and either Asia or America, depending on who shows more interest. So far it's 1-0 for Asia. :)

I'm afraid we'll have to postpone this till next Friday as we're overwhelmed with urgent things to get done right now.

I promise there'll be an official announcement on Monday.
